Becoming a member

Upon completion of this online registration you will be issued with an online membership. If you wish to borrow physical resources from our libraries, please visit your nearest branch with some photo ID to be issued with a library membership card. Membership details are confidential and will not be disclosed to unauthorised parties. If you are a temporary resident, or do not have a fixed address, you can register to become a temporary member. If you are under 16 years old, you will need to visit your nearest branch in person and a parent or guardian must accompany you and sign the membership register.

Membership of the library service is free and any resident of Western Australia can join. You may join the library online by clicking on the button below after you have read and accepted the membership conditions.

Conditions of membership

  • To borrow physical items in one of our branches you must present your library membership card. All of our eResources are available on our website.
  • Items may be returned to any branch of the Library. After hours chutes are available at the Wanneroo and Clarkson branches. Items left in the chute after hours are regarded as having been returned on the next open day.
  • Membership may be suspended if you have overdue items and outstanding charges. Charges are usually only incurred once items are 21 days overdue.
  • A reservation and/or inter-library loan service is available for those items which are on loan, available at another branch or at another library service. You can place your own reservations for most items via the public access catalogues at our branches or through the City of Wanneroo Library's website.
  • All costs incurred by the Library due to items lost or damaged whilst in your care must be reimbursed.
  • If you change your address or name please notify us immediately.
  • Please report lost cards to the library immediately.
  • The Library Services Policy is available on the City of Wanneroo website or on request at any of the City's libraries. The City of Wanneroo Libraries also abide by the Library Board of Western Australia Act 1951 and the Library Board (Registered Public Libraries) Regulations 1985.
