Frequently Asked Questions

Select Register, read and accept the conditions of membership, complete the form, note the barcode number you receive. You now have instant access to the library’s electronic resources. To borrow at the library bring along some ID with your name and date of birth on it. See a staff member to be issued with a library card to use at the self check machines. For under 16s a parent or legal guardian will need to complete your membership in the library.
Select Login, click on ‘Forgot your password? At the bottom of the pop up’. Enter your barcode number or username and surname, then click continue. You will be sent an email to your registered email address to reset your password. When you receive the email click on reset password, you will then need to enter a new password of your choosing. If you do not receive an email contact the library to check your email address is up-to-date on your account.
Login to your account, go to personal details, enter a new password, type your old password in the Current password field at the end then click on update.
Quick Search-
Enter a word or phrase, click on the magnifying glass icon beside the search bar or enter on your keyboard. Any records that contain the word or phrase will display.
Advanced Search-
Allows you to be more specific in your search by selecting to search by title, author, subject, date or language.
You may borrow up to 50 items at a time.
There is a limit of 20 DVDs at a time.
You may borrow for 21 days (3 weeks) unless you select a quick pick title which is a 7 day loan.
You may reserve an item if it is on loan, at another library, or on order and not yet received by the library.
When you search for an item in the catalogue you can place a reservation from the brief display list, when viewing availability of the item, or if you open the full record.
You will need to be logged into your account to place a reservation.
At the bottom of the webpage there is a link to Request a title. You will need to login to your account to place a request.
Complete the form with the details you have for the item. Click on continue. Confirm details and then click on continue again. Once the request has been processed the item will be reserved for you or you will be notified if we are unable to supply it.
Login to your account and view the dashboard. You can view your pending reservations or requests. Once in the view you can cancel all reservations or requests, select a particular item to cancel or edit selected items. You can edit the pickup location if you want to change which library you collect from, suspend until a certain date (Great if you are going on holidays and don’t want to miss your item) or let us know if you no longer require the item after a certain date.
Loans are now auto renewed for you two days before the due date, as long as there are no reservations on the item and you don’t have any charges on your account.
Place your items in the return chutes inside all City of Wanneroo during opening hours.
Clarkson and Wanneroo libraries also have after hours chutes accessible from outside the building to return items outside library opening hours.
Login to your account and select personal details. Update the details you wish to change. Don’t forget to retype your current password at the end then click Update.
If your registration has expired you will see a status bar on your dashboard. Select Renew Account, update any details that may have changed, type in your current password, Renew Account. Your account registration will renew immediately and be available for use.
Login to your account and go to your dashboard. Any accounts linked to yours will show under family accounts. Family accounts will only show if there are items on loan to that account. You can manage the loans on their accounts from here. To renew their registration or change personal details you will need to login to their account separately.
You can now link your Goodreads account to your library account. To do this login to your account and select link my Goodreads account. Doing this will allow you to link your reviews of books you have read to both the library catalogue and goodreads. You will also be able to see if the library holds copies of books you have added to your ‘want to read’ shelf.
Picture Wanneroo is the collection of images held by the Community History Centre that relate to the history of Wanneroo. To view these pictures simply select 'Picture Wanneroo' from the drop-down options when performing a search. Please contact the Community History Centre for full details of an image’s conditions of use and/or copyright. Images are available for purchase, subject to fees and charges.
The Community History Centre is located in the Museum, ground floor of the Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre, and has an extensive collection of historical information relating to Wanneroo. Although the collection is not available for loan, the Centre is open to the public as a reference facility.
Login to your account. There is an option to Cancel my membership either in the dropdown or in the menu when you view your dashboard. You can choose to Cancel my membership which will keep your details in the system but your account is disabled. Or you can choose to Cancel and permanently forget my membership which will remove all your details from the system.
