Join Sue Goodwin, from Uniting WA’s Financial Wellbeing Service, to talk in a safe and confidential space about your financial concerns. Sue will be available on Tuesday mornings at Clarkson library for 4 weeks from 5th September 2023; 10.30 am to 12 pm. Appointments are 30 minutes long and the service is free of charge.

September brings the beginning of Spring and health month at Clarkson Library. A new season and a new reason to make health and wellness a priority. Join experienced mental health and wellness facilitators Maria and Rachael as they discuss what constitutes a healthy mind, body and soul and what daily practices we can do to enhance our wellbeing.

Over two workshops you will discover techniques that target a holisitic approach to a healthy mind, body and soul. Bookings are essential

A local art collective - tickets will go fast so get yours now! A series of three workshops at Clarkson Library.

  • Friday 8 September – Weave a Dream - upcycle those old CD’s and weave a dreamcatcher. A beautiful piece of art to keep or gift to someone.
  • Saturday 16 September – Hanging Planter - upcycle a plastic bottle into a décor accent piece.
  • Friday 22 September - Tissue Paper Lantern Bowls - Use that excess wrapping paper, create a lantern bowl and add some light to your life!

Advancing on the Write Track

Join local writer David Allan-Petale in a series of advanced writing classes at the Wanneroo Library that will deepen your understanding of literature and the skills used to create vibrant stories.

David Allan-Petale is a writer from Perth, Western Australia whose debut novel Locust Summer was published in 2021 by Fremantle Press. The book was longlisted for the 2021 ALS Gold Medal for "an outstanding literary work," and was shortlisted for the 2022 WA Premier’s Western Australian Premier's Book Awards. David has worked for many years as a journalist in WA and internationally with BBC World and Al Jazeera.

Sabrina's extensive knowledge of both native and Mediterranean flora, together with her science-based background in soil, botany and natural systems, is reflected in her ability to design sustainable and beautiful landscapes
