This was the condition of the track when Aubrey Gibbs, a local farmer, was appointed the Yanchep Caves caretaker in 1927. Along this road the building materials were carted for the Lindsay family home. Improvement of the road became one of the first tasks of the sustenance workers in the Depression.

Zivkovich family property [digital picture]

In the mid to late 1930s Nicola (Nick) and Marija Zivkovich moved to Wanneroo and bought a 10 acre property on the east side of Wanneroo Road just south of Parin Road. Nick cleared five acres facing Wanneroo Road and planted a small vineyard. The family's address was the 10 Mile Peg, Wanneroo Road.
